Formed in London in 1976, 999 quickly became one of the standout bands of the UK punk scene, earning a reputation for their high-energy live shows at venues like The Roxy and The Nashville. After releasing their debut single "I'm Alive" independently in 1977, they signed to United Artists and went on to release classic punk albums including 999 and Separates, featuring fan favourites such as "Nasty Nasty", "Emergency", and "Homicide". Despite lineup changes over the years, 999 have remained a respected and enduring force in British punk.
